Welcome to the SeMantics website. The one-stop web site for all things Citroen SM.

The Citroën SM is a unique car built for a period of just five years in the early 1970's.

Citroën had purchased Maserati with the intention of marrying an Italian thoroughbred engine with a stylish French coupé to produce the most elegant of Grand Tourers. The result was the SM; one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

It was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1970 - 30 years ago, yet this is a design that even today looks futuristic; belying its age.

The energy crisis of the time contributed to a short production life. However, this has only served to increase the myth surrounding the car, elevating it to legendary status. In all only 12,920 of these remarkable cars were made of which just 327 were registered new in the UK.

SeMantics was formed back in 1992 to cater for the needs of owners of Citroën SM's in the UK. Since our inception, we have organised numerous events both in the UK and abroad helping to bring together the owners of these spectacular cars. We encourage owners to use these wonderful cars and help them in any way we can by providing practical help such as sourcing essential parts or providing the name of a recognised SM mechanic or servicing agent.

We are in the process of updating this site to provide you with more information about the SM and more opportunities to get involved with SeMantics. Our ever popular features have now been updated and revised. The highlights include:

New merchandise with secure credit card ordering
We have extended our merchandise section to include the latest two books to feature the SM together with many more SM accessories.
Revised Gallery Sections
The gallery is now bigger and better with more photographs and features on the SM. Virtually every photograph has been re-scanned.
Revised Owners Pages
SM owners can now have their own web page on this site. Simply register your car online and we'll automatically create a web page for you. You will be able to edit it whenever you like, and add pictures too.
